Board Statements December 2016
I would be honored to be considered for an additional term on the Board of the Yolo County SPCA. I have been involved with the Yolo SPCA for over 30 years now in many capacities: volunteer, board member, various officers including President for several years, dog foster home and have served on multiple committees each year over those years. In those years of volunteering I have been privileged to be a part of a compassionate and committed group of volunteers and employees who genuinely care about the animals and people we help.
By serving as a board member again, I can continue to assist the YCSPCA to grow and move forward as an organization so we can help even more needy animals and people. Thank you so much for considering re-electing me to the Board of the YCSPCA.
I've been volunteering with Yolo SPCA for the last 10 years, and I was also on the Board of Directors during this entire time. This organization has done amazing things in showing me the truly generous, caring side of people. The amount that the YCSPCA accomplishes with our limited resources is amazing and inspiring. When people see good works being done they get inspired to help and be part of that. I am absolutely certain YCSPCA has made an enormous positive impact in all the lives we have touched - humans as well as animals.
I would love to continue my commitment to serving on the Board of Directors of the Yolo County SPCA. For the past 15 years my service has been to the SPCA thrift store. Other than Holidays I am there every day.. working in the donations department, working in the areas that I am devoted too and to support the store staff. In December the SPCA is the beneficiary of the Davis Odd Fellows bingo. I make sure we have a photo opt in the local paper and a large turnout from the SPCA board and our supporters. I hope to continue serving on the board.
I want to continue in my position on the Board of Directors. I want to continue being part of this awesome organization! 🙂
Laurie Siperstein-Cook, D.V.M.
I would like to continue my participation on the Board for the upcoming year and help in anyway I can. As always, the warmth and enthusiasm of this board and the employees of the YSPCA is what makes this a great organization to be a part of.
