Phone: None. This is an entirely volunteer-based non-profit. They do not have the volunteer base to take phone calls.
To Make an Appointment: Go to their website. If you do not have internet, use the local library or a friend's house.
How to get started:
Please fill out the voucher form on the website- and immediately fax or email in your proof of income with your assigned voucher number on the fax. If you cannot do this, go to your local library to fill the form out, or call the number above and leave details (phone, address, income status, pet name, age, sex, weight, breed) and wait for a return call.
Upon meeting the qualifications for the voucher program (family income of $35,000 or less per year and proof of income mailed in), your cat can be fixed for a $10 copay at one of the vets who works in agreement with SAAC.
Other Services: This group promotes SPAY DAY. This program is offered in February every year, with the phone lines typically opening for appointment scheduling in early January. This program offers spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping at very little cost for both dogs and cats.
ANY INCOME LEVEL
1. Spay/Neuter Runs for cats only from Woodland and Davis to out of area vets.
Cost: $20 neuter (male), $25 spay (female)
Rabies: $10 (must be over 4 mo old)
