We love her beyond words. The neighbors wave at her from their cars while driving to work. The school kids come running up to hug her while she's on her walkies. One little guy, a 4th grader named Ian, asked if Phyllis could come to visit. He took a page out of his notepad from his backpack & wrote "130 - east direction". I cried.

And does she ever protect! Once we introduce her to neighbors & delivery staff, she licks their fingers. But meanwhile, we don't need a doorbell because Phyllis is hunkered down when she perceives an unidentified intruder.

My favorite Phyllis story - I like to watch movie clips on the computer & was viewing the famous Coliseum stare-down scene in Gladiator where Russell Crowe confronts (emperor) Joaquin Phoenix, saying "I will have my vengeance in this life or the next". Then the crowd raises thumbs up & chants "Live! Live! Live!"  At the same time Phyllis jumps out of her bed & starts running around the house going "Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!" I really thought I'd break a rib laughing.
